UNM Continuing Education has produced the Training Development and Instructional Technology (TDIT) Certificate Program

More and more businesses seek to address the need for a skilled
and effective workforce through the development of both classroom
and computer-based training for their employees.
Any course may be taken independently from the certificate
program.

Professional
Trainer Certificate
The
Professional Trainer Certificate Program focuses on the basics
of instructional design, curriculum development, evaluation
of program needs, and training delivery. It is a practical
curriculum designed for individuals who are currently providing,
or who would like to provide, effective training in any setting.
There are four core courses and four electives required to
obtain the Certificate.
Computer-Based
Trainer Certificate
The
Computer-Based Trainer Certificate Program covers instructional
design and emphasizes the design and development of computer-assisted
instructional materials and courseware for delivery via the
Web and CD-ROM. There are four core classes, seven required
design and computer classes, and three elective courses required
to obtain the certificate.
Professional
and Computer-Based Trainer Certificate
This
option is for students who wish to obtain both Trainer Certifications.
All students who wish to pursue a dual emphasis certification
must see the TDIT Training Coordinator to discuss course options
and finalize a certificate plan.
Note:
A set number of hours are required for core and elective courses.
Courses may be taken as part of the certificate program, or independently
from the certificate programs.
